Autumn 2
This half term in Ladybird Nursery, our area of focus will be 'Autumn and 'Transport'.
The children will take part in lots of hands on and creative activities around this topic.
As always in nursery our aim is to follow children's interest so learning, topics and activities can change all the time.
Focused book's for this term are:
Week 1 - Little Acorn

Week 4 - Choo choo clickety clack
Week 5 - The journey home from grandpas
Week 6 - Car, car, truck, jeep
Week 7 - The Jolly Christmas Postman
In our adult led focus, we will be playing lots of games that will promote the children's communication and language development.
We will be sharing lots of their favourite stories and singing lots of rhymes too!
*** Forest School ***
Forest school is on a Thursday. Children are to wear their forest school uniform and must bring a coat and a pair of wellies as the forest can be very muddy!

PLAY DOUGH
Ingredients:1 mug of salt, 2 mugs flour,1& 1/2 mugs water, 2 tablespoons Cream of Tatar, 2 tablespoons cooking oil, food colouring of choice.
Method: Place the water, salt and oil into a pan and bring to the boil stir the salt around; it won't dissolve. Take from the heat and add the food colouring. Mix the flour and cream of Tatar together before mixing it in the pan with the other ingredients. Turn out onto a board and knead together adding a little more flour if needed. Keep in an air tight container.

Mornings: 8:30am - 11:30 am Afternoons: 12:15pm - 3:15pm

Please remember that your child will need a named changing bag with a spare change of clothes and will need to have plenty of nappies, wipes and cremes if needed. They will also need a named water bottle.
Please write the children's names in their cardigans, jumpers, coats and on any other clothing.
